Our 2” x 30’ Ratchet Strap with Flat Hooks is one of the most commonly used load straps for flatbed trailers. The 30-foot length helps to provide flexibility to different sizes of cargo that may require different lengths of webbing. This strap uses our heaviest-duty 2-inch polyester tie-down webbing and has a 12,000 lbs breaking strength and assembly 3,335 lbs working load limit rating.
Polyester is used due to its heavy-duty strength and minimal stretching to ensure once your cargo is secured it does not move out of place or come unsecured while traveling down the road. It also has excellent durability and protection against moisture, mold, mildew, and direct sunlight which are all reasons that can cause damage to tie-down straps over time.
Flat hooks are the most commonly used end-fitting hardware for flatbeds due to the wider surface area of the hook distributing weight and easily attaching to the rub rails of the flatbed trailer within seconds. Once the flat hook is secured on each end they can be tightened into place using the heavy-duty ratchet hardware to the desired strength.
The ratchet mechanism moves in one direction to tighten the strap with each click and remove excess slack. Close the ratchet to keep the cargo secure until you reach your destination. To release, pull up on the ratchet release and open it fully to remove the extra webbing. Store the ratchet strap in a dry place away from sunlight when not in use to prevent damage.
